Beer Life in NJ?

Everyone has been reporting on Iron Hill's new digs that are scheduled to open in 2009 in Maple Shade. Finally another brewer in the beer vacuum that is South Jersey. Now another spark of beer life is seen from an unexpected source. The national restaurant chain Champps is test marketing multi taps of craft beer at the Marlton location. There is also a location in Chicago that has undergone the beer transformation. Think about it, NJ is swamped with strip malls and chain restaurants. If all goes well who knows all those cookie cutter fooderies might have to wise up and start selling something other than BudMillerCoors. So, beer lovers in the garden state unite, head to Champps in Marlton and drink craft beer for a good cause. Check out the details posted over at BA.

Maybe this is a sign that South Jersey's days as a beer establishment wasteland are numbered? We can only hope.
