Full Mooner Thursday at The General Lafayette

The General Lafayette Inn and Brewery is hosting Full Mooner XI tonight from 6-9pm. Chris Depeppe from Total Bru Marketing and Beerheads.com specifically arranges the tasting event on the eve of a full moon. Tonight's attendees have the chance to sample beers from He'brew, New Holland and Weyerbacher. The $15 includes a buffet.

Check out the post and photos from an earlier Full Mooner event.

I went to this event and was somewhat disappointed. Not sure what I expected but it was basically a dude who setup in the pool table room of the bar. He had bought a cases of 2 Hebrew beers, a Weyerbacher, and a sample pack of New Holland. For food they bar brought out some veggies, and later some potato skins and wings. Wasn't really much of an "Event" at all, and could find more interesting beer selection at many other places. And it's not like these beers were that rare..

Yeah I have heard a few people say the same thing about past Full Monners. I look at it as more for people who are looking to get into craft beer or for those who just haven't had the beers offered. Any event that spreads the knowledge of good beer can't be that bad.
