AleSmith Brewing makes it's debut in Philly. Tonight
Hawthornes ( Corner of 11th & Fitzwater) is home to the offical region wide release. Six bottled beers will be available:
IPA, Horny Devil, Grand Cru, Wee Heavy, Old Numbskull Barley Wine and
Speadway Stout. To prevent the all too common mad rush and quick sell out of a limited supply Hawthornes is staggering the release. Two beers will go on sale each hour and the style will be determined by a lottery system. To make the wait time between beers less daunting the draft list is amped up for the occasion.
Ballast Point Sculpin, Lost Abbey Devotion, Pliney the Elder and
Brooklyn Blast on special should help to sooth the inner beer beast. If you are a must-have-it-first person the rush is on 6-9pm.
